Let's take a look together at a few interesting findings that this period has brought to the HR sphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Great Britain, a report was released in March of this year stating that the number of days that<strong>&nbsp;Employees spent only 1.8 % on sick leave.<\/strong>&nbsp;This is the lowest value in 26 years. One possible reason is the fact that people have been working from home significantly more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In June 2020, Gartner surveyed 127 companies to determine their post-pandemic workplace plans. The survey revealed that&nbsp;<strong>47 % companies will continue to allow their employees to work remotely.<\/strong>&nbsp;Other companies (43 % respondents) will introduce flexible work arrangements, allowing employees to choose between working from home or in the office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hybrid office is one of the hottest HR trends in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It can be stated that \u201ethanks\u201c to the pandemic, we are approaching the era of hybrid offices.&nbsp;<strong>The hybrid office is one of the hottest HR trends in 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A recent McKinsey report states that in 2021, companies will focus on building strong leadership and a sense of trust among current employees and potential job market candidates. Such findings are not surprising, as employees seek a reliable and stable work environment in uncertain times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An interesting and inspiring benefit that many foreign companies have successfully implemented is home food delivery. A separate company manages the entire process, relieving employees of shopping and time-consuming cooking. Benefits like these show employees that companies care about them and support them in difficult times, not just with words. During lockdown, this employer initiative was very welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employee Upskilling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A recent Udemy survey showed that&nbsp;<strong>Demand for professional development rose to an incredible 38% in 2020<\/strong>. By comparison, in 2019 the figure was only 14 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why has upskilling become one of the key trends in human resources?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because it is a sustainable and effective approach to developing your workforce. Upskilling helps HR professionals retain employees, boost morale, and reduce the costs of recruiting and training new hires.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Take care of your reputation, you can save a lot of money that way<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even though times are tough and finances are tight, build up your reputation. Employers with a \u201eless-than-stellar\u201c reputation have to offer a salary that is at least 10% higher to fill a position. \u00a0Even that is contingent on candidates showing any interest in them at all.
