Working women are a complete given today. The Western trend of the traditional „housewife“ role hasn't really caught on in our parts. And maybe that's a good thing. Several studies confirm that a working mother is a great role model for children and has a positive impact on their development and their future.
However, being a working mother here is not easy at all. It is expected that as an employee she will work full-time, and at the same time, as a mother, she will fully take care of the children and the household. Returning to work after maternity leave is no easier. After three years, the mother usually no longer finds her original job waiting for her, and the effort to re-establish herself and get back into the swing of work after some time is a real challenge for anyone.

That is why every mother, shortly after giving birth, faces the dilemma of whether to return to work as soon as possible or simply allow herself to stay home with her child on maternity leave. However, the luxurious period of three years, during which a woman can fully devote herself to her child, is also a relatively long time to, so to speak, professionally „stunt.“.
Many mothers therefore try to use this time to work from home and earn some extra money. Ideally, of course, it would be for a woman on maternity leave not to lose contact with her employer and to be able to continue working for her employer after a short break in an adjusted capacity. In this case, employers need to try to help mothers return to work and make this process easier for them. Offer them greater time flexibility, or a reduced working hours. It is important to focus more intensely on the mother after she returns to work, including during her adaptation – as times are dynamic and many things change over time.

Employers are often afraid to hire a mother, especially if she has more than one child. But our experience is that if a woman is given the opportunity and has the conditions created for her to not have to compromise between her family and work life, she becomes a very high-performing, diligent, and loyal employee. Many mothers have great ambitions to work, be creatively fulfilled, and grow their careers alongside their families. It is not difficult for them to function effectively. They can organize themselves, their families, and their households. Women are naturally multi-functional, and motherhood further strengthens this practical ability. And every progressive employer should appreciate and wisely utilize this.
At Trigone, we understand women, champion motherhood and family, as almost all our colleagues are mothers. We create conditions for mothers to easily balance work and home life. We support flexibility and remote work. We allow our women to manage their time, within which they achieve professional fulfillment and engage in family life. We trust their abilities, honesty, and responsibility. In return, they are much more effective, independent, and engaged. Together, we break down the barriers that disadvantage women in the job market due to motherhood.
Did you know that „Does being a mother give you superpowers to do things you don't want to do?“And that always comes in handy, not just at work.".
