CLIENT TASK

UNITECHNOLOGY, s.r.o. has asked us to help fill a job position Accountant. The company provides building technology supply services throughout Slovakia and abroad. They offer comprehensive services in ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and measurement and control.

This company has been a regular client of ours for several years. We help them fill mainly technical and other specialized positions. When replacing departing colleagues in the positions of accountant and receptionist, they decided that these were straightforward roles they could fill on their own and would not outsource to a recruitment agency. On May 21, 2019, after three months of unsuccessful recruitment efforts, the company’s managing director reached out to us asking for help in finding suitable employees even for these seemingly simple positions. He admitted that they had wasted an incredible amount of time screening resumes, conducting interviews with candidates, and arranging meetings that job seekers often didn’t even show up for. Worst of all, the candidates they selected did not prove to be suitable. They finally filled the receptionist position on the third try, but the client admitted that it was a struggle and that he still isn’t 100% satisfied with the result. That’s why they left the second position—accountant—to us, the experts.

OUR SOLUTION

We have extensive experience in filling accounting positions. We know when and where to search, as well as whom to approach and how. In this case, we chose to reach out through a well-prepared advertisement and also directly contacted potential candidates. We worked with 23 candidates, of whom 18 were contacted to schedule an interview with one of our consultants. We presented 3 candidates to the client who, in our opinion, best met the requirements of the job position and the client's needs. From these 3 candidates for the accounting position, the company director selected a new employee immediately after the first rounds of interviews. The accounting position was successfully filled with our candidate starting on June 3, 2019.

During the recruitment process for the accountant position, we provided the client with initial personnel consulting, during which we built a good „springboard“ for the successful hiring of a new employee. We started by performing a salary analysis for the accountant position in the Banská Bystrica region for the client. We informed them about the current salary benchmarks and candidate expectations for this role, as they had not hired for this position in the previous 11 years and therefore lacked sufficient insight into current salary conditions. The recruitment process itself involved conducting interviews, testing candidates, developing a suitable candidate profile, and providing accompanying consulting services.
